Introducing “Matinee Baseball”

I am happy to announce a new podcast that I will be hosting this spring/summer for The Tailgate Society. It is called “Matinee Baseball”. I love, freaking love, the podcast “The Rewatchables” over at the Ringer and the “80’s all over” podcast, with Drew McWeeney and Scott Weinberg. Both of these podcasts deal with rewatching old films and putting a modern spin on that experience.

That being said, I am going to be watching or rewatching baseball movies and tasking different members of The Tailgate Society to watch them again. Hell maybe we will have some guests along for the ride too. The plan is to start this week with Major League before moving on to other films. Even if you aren’t a baseball fan or a movie fan trust me these podcasts are going to be a lot of fun.

If you don’t want to miss out on these podcasts or any other podcasts we do at The Tailgate Society, I ask you to subscribe to us on iTunes or Sticher. We would love to have you. Any and all subscribers help us to keep this site going.

Ted's friends often refer to him as the “Angry Panda" because of his cuddly, teddy bear-like nature and his fierce loyalty to those close to him. He's also not afraid to bite if you cross him or any of his allies. Born and bred in small town, southeastern Iowa, Ted took his Iowa State degree and moved to Kansas of all places. Ted loves to hold on to those small town roots though, by refusing to acknowledge any music made after 2005. His major goals include making the internet fun again, seeing the Cubs win a World Series live, and having a beer with Jon Stewart. This website is a step toward one of those goals.
